Piezo Z-Motion Nano-focusing Solution for Multi-Head Objective Microscopy System

With the continuous progress of science and technology in biology, medicine, material science, precision machining and other fields, optical microscopic imaging technology has been more widely used. In order to obtain higher microscopic accuracy and scanning speed, many microscopic imaging systems are equipped with piezoelectric nanopositioning technology products to move samples or objectives accurately, quickly and stably to obtain more accurate sample information.

The piezo objective scanner is a piezo micro-motion platform that generates Z-nanometers with step resolution of up to 2.5nm, which is suitable for very high precision optical imaging and focusing.

In the observation process of some applications, the microscope system of multi-head objective lens will be used. Compared with the microscopic system of a single object lens, the multi-head objective lens has many advantages such as diverse magnification, wide field of view, different angles, etc., which can provide more comprehensive information of the observed sample. However, in the process of using multiple objective lenses, due to the limitations of volume and structure, the piezo objective scanner is not convenient to provide nano-level z-motion focusing for each object lens.

In order to enable each objective of the multi-head objective system to achieve Z-motion nanoscale focusing, CoreMorrow designed and developed the high-bearing, high-precision piezo nanopositioning stage XD780 series according to the characteristics of the multi-head objective system, which not only meets the requirements of large load due to the increase in the number and structure of objectives, but also switches any one objective between multiple objectives. All capable of z-motion nanoscale focusing. It has a compact body which makes it easy to integrate and avoid system bloat.

The bearing capacity of XD780 piezo nanopositioning stage is up to 5kg in vertical, horizontal and inverted directions, and it has three optional displacement: 50μm, 150μm, 200μm, with the resolution up to 0.5nm.

E53.D Piezo Ceramic Controller

E53.D is a single channel piezo ceramic controller with small-size, high-power, low-power consumption, high-bandwidth and low-ripple. It’s bandwidth up to 10kHz, and power supply voltage 24VDC1.5A. The controller adopts a special operational amplifier circuit to ensure the output capacity of high voltage and high current, and improves the precision and stability of PI regulation and control by optimizing the sensing servo module. The reliable anti-interference design ensures the high frequency response speed of the controller.

E01.D1 Piezo Ceramic Controller

E01.D1 is a single-channel piezo ceramic controller with high-power and high-bandwidth. The voltage is optional, and the maximum current can be up to 625mA. LCD and computer communication module makes it possible for both analog and digital control, and you can also choose keyboard operation. Software secondary development is available.
