With the continuous progress of science and technology, especially the emergence of laser technology and its application in the optics field, the accuracy of laser operation and adjustment is constantly improved. From classical optical technology to adaptive optical engineering, piezo ceramic technology has been expanded in the application field of optical technology with its precise micro-nano control and ultra-high adjustment accuracy.

Piezo tip tilt platform is drived by piezo actuator, with internal non-return difference flexible hinge parallel guide structure design, and the external mechanical structure achieves uniaxial or multi-axial angular tilt motion through the expansion of internal piezo actuator, its small amount of compensation ensures that the deflection mirror with high accuracy and stability of movement. The built-in high precision sensors for closed-loop control, achieves sub-micro radian resolution and micro radian positioning accuracy.

According to motion dimension, the tip tilt platform generally has three motion modes: θx tilt, θx θy tilt, θx θy tilt and Z motion.

θx, θy Tilt



The S38-C1 piezo tip tilt platform is a θx, θy two-dimensional deflection piezo fast steering mirror with two optional tilt angles of 1.2mrad, 2.4mrad. The upgraded S38-C1 is more convenient and can be integrated into a cage structure with a right-angle adapter.

Lens Replaceable


S38-C1 piezo tip tilt platform was designed with a moving end screw, fitted with a lens mounting cap. The lens can be replaced according to user requirements. Compared with the traditional piezo tip tilt platform, which requires the lens to be glued to the moving end face and cannot be easily disassembled, the structure design of the replaceable lens of S38-C1 increases the convenience and makes the operation more simple.

Small Size, High Dynamic, Applicable for Optical Communication, Imaging and Environmental Monitoring



S38-C1 piezo tip tilt platform has a mall size, its outer diameter is only 20mm, with 20mm or 29mm height. Its unloaded resonant frequency can be up to 7kHz and is suitable for dynamic beam tilt applications. Its small size and high dynamic make it applicable for optical communication, optical imaging and environmental monitoring, etc.

For example, temporary network communication in emergency situations can be built by UAV, while S38-C1 series can quickly maintain the stability of the network due to its high dynamic characteristics and high tilt accuracy. When UAV is used for imaging and taking photos, the fast optical deflection of S38-C1 fast mirror can also be used to make the imaging clearer and more stable. It provides a stable channel for data transmission during environmental monitoring in remote areas.
