Piezo sheet is a kind of functional material with piezoelectric effect, its working principle is to use the inverse piezoelectric effect to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. The deformation generated by piezoelectric ceramics, as well as its high resolution and response speed, can be applied to nanoscale precision positioning operation, and widely used in semiconductor, optics, medical and other fields.
The common shapes of piezoelectric ceramic sheets are square, round, ring or square with a through hole, etc. The square piezo sheet is more convenient for layout and installation in space because of its standard shape. The circular piezo sheets have a more uniform stress distribution and higher mechanical stability. The piezo sheets with through-hole is more suitable for optical applications because it can transmit light, and have more application scenarios under the same displacement and output. Piezo sheets can be used alone or stacked.
The standard thickness of the single layer piezo sheet is 2mm, and the displacement generated can be up to 3.3μm. Piezo sheets can be stacked and the height can be increased to obtain a larger stroke.
