In optical applications, such as optical communication, optical image stabilization, laser processing, laser beam combination etc., optical path adjustment is an essential process, but also a gradual optimization process, which need to constantly adjust the optical path and optimize the propagation path of light. Light is transmitted in the form of electromagnetic waves and the wavelength is generally between micron and nanometre, therefore, very high accuracy and fast response speed are usually required in optical path adjustment, so as to obtain more accurate results. The piezo tip/tilt platform can provide high precision, fast reaction speed and higher frequency for the optical path adjustment, and the closed-loop control system has even higher positioning accuracy to achieve accurate positioning and control.
S31 Piezo Tip/Tilt Platform
S31 is a large stroke 2 axis piezo tip/tilt platform, which was built with a no return error flexible hinge parallel guide structure inside, so that θx, θy axis has the same high performance to ensure their high motion accuracy and stability. Its deflection angle can be up to 8.5mrad, the closed-loop resolution up to 0.5μrad with the help of the built-in high-precision sensor. It can carry φ12.7mm lens for 2-axis deflection motion. Its compact structure design and smaller volume can meet more miniaturized, high-speed and accurate application scenarios. The product is shown in the picture below.

Applications
1. Optical imaging: In the process of optical imaging, due to various influencing factors such as platform vibration and random disturbance of attitude, the optical axis of the camera will be offset, so that the relative motion of the target and the focusing surface will produce image shift, which will lead to imaging ambiguity. The piezo tip/tilt platform is used to compensate and correct the relative displacement between the real-time acquisition image and the reference image, so that the high-resolution image can be obtained within the fixed exposure time. 2. Laser processing: The piezo tip/tilt platform is very suitable for integration into high-precision ultrafast laser processing applications where the aperture and hole distance are machined in the micron level. Due to the high precision and fast response speed of the piezo tip/tilt platform, it can solve the problems of low machining precision and non-smooth aperture for small holes.

E80.D3S/K-O controller is mainly designed to drive the piezo tip/tilt platform. It has 3 output channels, the third of which is a constant voltage output, suitable for differential drive. It applies 20~30VDC power supply which has analog closed loop, digital control, and bandwidth 10kHz. It comes in two forms, either chassis package or board cassette.
E80.B5S Board Cassette Controller
It is a five-channel output piezo controller designed to drive two piezo tip/tilt platforms at the same time. It uses DC28V power supply, the output voltage is -20V~120V (optional -20V~100V/150V), the size is only 222 x 180 x 40mm^3, it solves the problem of limited application space with the characteristics of small size board card form. E80.B5S uses special components and some special processing, which makes it suitable for aerospace applications.
