Optical fiber is a flexible optical fiber, usually made of high purity glass or plastic, used to transmit light signals. According to the total reflection characteristics of light, the optical signal is fully reflected inside the optical fiber to transmit data, so that the optical signal can be transmitted at a long distance, high speed and large capacity, and because the material of the optical fiber is not subject to electromagnetic interference, the stability and reliability of the signal are maintained.
The piezo ceramic fiber phase modulator is to adjust the phase of the input optical signal by stretching the fiber, so as to change the propagation of the optical signal in the fiber. It can be widely used in optical fiber sensor, optical fiber highlight section, optical wavelength regulation and so on.
CoreMorrow Small Fiber Phase Modulator H01.6k-B4
CoreMorrow has been continuously update our Fiber Phase Modulator product catalogue, and today we recommend H01.6k-B4.It’s working principle is, the action of three piezo ceramic stacks placed equally at 120 degrees, causes the hinge to expand outwards and the outer diameter expands, then stretching the fiber wound in the outer diameter groove. Its radial travel range is 3μm, the fiber stretch length is 15μm/ circle, the radial output is 120N, and the unloaded resonance frequency is 3000Hz, the overall size is small and only Ø30×13mm, the product appearance is shown below.
Characteristics
Nominal radial travel range 3μm
Fiber extension length 15μm/ circle
Resolution up to 0.3nm
Unloaded resonant frequency up to 3000Hz
Application
Optical fiber sensor is a sensor that converts the state of the measured object into a measurable optical signal. Its basic working principle is to send the light beam from the light source into the modulator by the optical fiber, using the modulator to change the nature of the light (such as the intensity, wavelength, frequency, phase, polarization state, etc.). Then the light beam are sent into the photoelectric device through the optical fiber, and pass through the demodulator to obtain the measured parameters. The piezoelectric ceramic fiber phase modulator can be stretched radially by applying voltage to it, and the fiber can be stretched to change the beam properties.
2、Optical Synthetic Aperture Imaging
Optical aperture imaging technology is to arrange a number of small aperture optical mirrors or optical systems according to a certain spatial position, , and makes the light beam through each sub-aperture meets the phase requirements on the common focal plane through the optical path, mirror adjustment and phase matching, so as to achieve the coherent superposition of light fields, and achieve the diffraction resolution of a single large aperture system equivalent to the light aperture. The piezoelectric ceramic fiber phase modulator can be used for real-time phase correction, so as to achieve real-time high-quality imaging.
