We would like to introduce a custom design piezo actuator XD791 by CoreMorrow, which is different from the conventional piezo actuator and is designed for special application requirements. The appearance is shown as below.
The design of D791 series piezo actuator has two important characteristics: large output and high dynamic! It is direct drive, the output of PZT piezo ceramics is 1:1, ensures that the output is not reduced. In addition, its structure is designed to take into account the dynamic heating problem. In the application, the heat is usually exported by air cooling, oil cooling, etc., and the XD791 piezo actuator is further optimized for heat dissipation, making full preparation for heat export.
The no-load frequency scanning test of XD791 piezo actuator was carried out by a frequency sweep instrument. The no-load resonant frequency of XD791 piezo actuator was measured as 3026Hz.
The XD791 series piezo actuator was tested at no-load operating frequency. Sinusoidal driving voltage signal of 90V was applied to the actuator, and the displacement of the actuator was measured at different frequencies. The curves of displacement values at different frequencies are shown below. The x-coordinate is the data set collected, and the y-coordinate is the measured displacement value.
After sorting out the measured data, the displacement values of XD791 series piezo actuators at different frequencies can be obtained under the 90V sinusoidal voltage drive, as shown in the table below. It can be seen from the data that in the range of 1Hz to 300Hz, the displacement value of the actuator of the XD791 piezo mechanism is basically maintained at about 10μm.

1)XD791 Piezo Actuators can be Used for Droplet Formation and Control
Droplet formation is a very important link and one of the key factors affecting production in the process of using droplet for research or production. The form of droplet is determined by the coupling of various factors during droplet ejection process.
For example, the voltage of the actuator loaded in the piezoelectric mechanism, the voltage frequency, the nature of the liquid, the structure of the nozzle, etc. Only when each parameter value reaches the appropriate state, can the appropriate droplet be formed. Otherwise, there will be no droplet formation, slow droplet formation or continuous liquid formation.
XD791 Piezo actuator has the characteristic of large output, which can control and adjust the force, amplitude, speed and frequency of the actuating action arbitrarily.

Valves have a variety of, such as gas valves, liquid valves, etc., can be used to control the flow or disconnection of gas or liquid. The opening and closing of the valve are controlled by the piezo actuator, the size of the valve opening is controlled by the voltage applied to the piezo actuator, and the speed of the switch is determined by the frequency of the control voltage applied to the piezo actuator.
Usually, the valve needs to work under high dynamic conditions. The high dynamics of the XD791 series piezo actuator can provide high dynamic actuation operation for valve control.
